I read six books in March, and started book number seven. (not pictured) … As stated in February I didn’t keep to my TBR. I kept to some of it, just not all of it.
I chomped my way through three Jessica Bell books. Twisted Velvet Chains, Fabric, and Muted & She – I picked all of her works to date up last month, a friend of mine who owned a bookshop was closing and selling all his stock 50% off. I really enjoyed them, Jessica’s books have a grunge-edge feel to them and I love it. Not only that but I was also inspired to write some poetry thanks to reading them.
The the next book on the list was Pulp by Robin Talley. Since coming out of the closet publicly in October I appear to be gobbling up a the lesbian fiction novels I can get my grubby mitts on. It did not disappoint. I fucking loved this book. In fact, I fucking loved it so much that I have now read it twice and am one step away from creating a shrine – that last bit was joke. If you are new here, I have a tendency to be a twat.
Next of all, I read Proud. – which you guessed it! Is another rainbow book. Filled with short stories from lots of LGBT+ authors. A good enjoyable read, but aimed for the YA market, It was a bit too young for me. That being said, I gave it a good review because it was a good book. I just tend to prefer books with more boobs and orgasms.
Lastly, A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. … Fucking hated it. It started off well, I really got into it in the beginning but then it just lost my interest. I know lots of people like this book, but I didn’t. I friend Owen is gonna hate me now for saying that! Ha!
So what am I currently reading?
Well, I’ve started the audio book for Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children. I’ve read the book before and I really love it. I’ve just been listening to the audio book while bumming around the house cleaning.
I’m also reading The Beautiful Life of Boys by YouTuber Sammie Speaks. Loving it! It’s brilliant. As long as my opinion on this book stays the same, we are in for a cracking review.
