I am well aware that it has been over a month since my last post. Life has been really busy as I am preparing for uni next term. It’s likely that once uni starts up again once a month posts will be the new norm, anything else will just be a bonus. I have been reading a lot of children’s books lately though, and as work will be breaking up for summer next week I should have a bit more time to post about them.

I would like to welcome Cam Lawson to the LGBT community. JW has finally said what a lot of us had already guessed. Cam is a lesbian. She hasn’t come out and said it as such in THIS book, – that happens in the next one. BUT it is heavily hinted and I could not be happier. Tracy has done an amazing job at raising her own daughter I love the relationship that they have as mother and daughter. There are lots of references to the older books and her life at the dumping ground and although she has semi regular contact with her mum, it’s nice to see that she has grown out of the dreams of her mum being perfect. Her taste in men though! – Don’t get me started! Jess is a very lovable girl who helps to keep her mum level, even though Tracy is still a bit of a hot head with a bad temper. Reading these latest TB books has reminded just how much I love JW and the way she writes for children and young adults.
